Train love!

Jack loves, loves, LOVES trains. Where would we be without Thomas (the Train), or as Jack calls him, “Choo-Choo!”?

So, the Museum of Transportation was the perfect afternoon adventure. Jack had the opportunity to explore real life trains, cars, and trolleys: Oh my!

I loved the color combo inside this train...I'm thinking I might need to incorporate it into an art project!

Oh, and on the way out we stopped to go on this huge boat...and Jack even went on the boat this time...happily! Must have something to do with the fact that it was not on water!

sunshine days

I was born to catch dragons in their dens and pick flowers. To tell tales and laugh away the morning. To drift and dream like a lazy stream and walk barefoot across sunshine days. (James Kavanaugh)

bubble fun!

If there’s anything half so much fun as being alive, I’d like to know what it is. ~ Frederick Buechner)

Oh he couldn't be more excited about this double bubble!!!

Reach for the sky:

happy weekend...have fun!

It Won't be Like This for Long

(Listen to: It Won't Be Like This for Long by Darius Rucker)

What happened to my baby? Seriously, have you seen him, because this is what I see:
And this is a little boy. A grown-up, little boy who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to let you know about it. Who repeats everything you say and loves to be funny and play hide-and-seek.
This little boy who makes bubble beards and then just has to put one on Mommy to match!

Who laughs so hard that nothing else in the whole world matters...nothing but that laugh...
Here is the report we got yesterday for Jack. He's taking care of the younger babies in his class...
I couldn't be prouder of my grown-up, little-big boy...

One candle...

Our first Anniversary celebration was so much fun.

We celebrated Saturday night and had an amazing dinner at Herbie’s Vintage 72! The evening started off with a bottle of champagne compliments of Carey and Jason! (Thanks sis and bro!)

And after oysters (ew!), filet, veal, spatzle, chocolate fritters, and a candle in a wine glass, we were gifted with our second present of the evening: our dinner had been “taken care of”! Thanks, Poppy! (Wow, a babysitter who pays for your dinner? It was a wonderful surprise that brought such a smile to my face.)

September 20, 2009:

We didn’t dance like we did on that night a year ago, as we sang Paradise by the Dashboard Light

but times like that are hard to duplicate! :)
Our actually anniversary day was spent exploring the Museum or Transportation…and it was fun to watch Jack have so much fun! Wait until you see those pics!
Then Mom and Herb made an awesome dinner and we finished the evening with a piece of our wedding cake...I wonder if it will still be good in 50 years?!
smile and love...

One year, Mr. Greffet

Happy anniversary, Mr. Greffet.

Can you believe it's been a year since this day?

I feel like just it all just happened...

You still make me laugh like this everyday...

and smile like this...

It was a day I'll never forget...and a year I'll always remember...

All of the details are still so fresh in my mind: my bouquet...
...the bracelet you still wear everyday...

and...the dress...oh the dress! I love this dress...I wish I could wear it every day...

serious love!

But at the end of the day, I know the details of our wedding day are insignificant to the details of our life...because this
is all that matters.
I love you. (24~15)

be silly today

"The most wasted of all days is one without laughter."
Here's one of Jack goofing around! As I was changing his sheets, he put 2 pacis in his mouth and kept jumping on his mattress! I think we're going to have a class clown on out hands! He makes me smile...
Oh, happy day!

BBQ

A few more from the Firetruck Rally!

Jack surely enjoyed his BBQ!

And Jim was enthralled with the ladder on the firetruck! He felt he was being very artsy by taking a shot with the ladder and the arch in the background...good job, Jim!

And the boys walking down on the Landing...

...good times :)

Take me out to the ballgame!

OMG! We went to the Cards game last night, and although they lost (boo), we had the BEST night!

#1: Amazing parking
#2: Yummy food
# : AWESOME seats: second row behind home plate…I could practically smell Albert and Holliday!
#3: Super fun company (Mom, Herb, and Jim)
#4: Did I mention I met Jack Clark and Whitey Herzog!!! Apparently, I turn into a babbling, shaking fool when I meet someone of notoriety. (I’ll have to work on that in case I happen to come across Brad Pitt or Robert Pattinson!) But I did get some autographs for my Jack!

Up close and personal!

And I love the guys faces in this pic! They were so excited because the Hooters girls were right behind them! LOL…I guess that’s how I looked when Matt Holliday waved to me (JK)

Happy, happy!

Here’s a pic of me smelling Pujols!

And proof of my brush with fame!
Oh what a night! Thanks, Mom and Herb! I'm still giddy from all the fun!
