Getting ready for preschool

We bought jack his preschool supplies this weekend, the essentials: crayons, glue, a pencil box, safety scissors... We were getting ready to spruce up his boring pencil box with superhero stickers, because if it's not superhero, it just doesn't cut it.

Jack cracked me up with his enthusiasm and desire to cut paper...he kept saying, "I'm doing a project!!" I had forgotten how fun and exciting something new can be, as I watched him cut, cut, cut...


He was so focused and ready...not for any big event or party, but to cut paper for the first time...it was new to him, and therefore, merited thrill...oh, the simple joys of the simple things...
