Happy Halloween!

It was Lila's first Halloween and the first time that Jack was really into the whole event so the night was a success. He warmed up to the idea of knock on stranger's doors and telling his joke, and didn't want the night to end! Needless to say, we'll have candy enough until next Halloween...

Last minute I raided my Mom's old stash of costumes and decided to participate the festivities...and Jim humored me by dressing up too! It wasn't quite the same as last year's Co-Pilot get-ups, but I have to say it was 100% more fun...

I wouldn't change anything about this little miss-moshed clown-bat-cow-pumpkin family of four for anything in the world!

And although Lila didn't brave the chilly weather to score some candy, she happily enjoyed her first Halloween indoors...

My happy little pumpkin...

Mustache-Montage!

For Halloween, Jim and I were co-pilots...and to keep his part authentic, Jim grew a mustache! I felt it only appropriate to document the 1.5 days of "the 'stache" with plenty of pictures.

Without further ado, I give you... Jim's Mustache-Montage!

(During the "growing out" phase...he rocked the beard for a good week and a half!)

Hmmm, this looks like Jim's model pose that he SO loves to do!

It was fun (funny) while it lasted, but it was gone the first chance he could get...now I'll just have to think of more costumes that involve mustaches in the future for 3 reasons:
#1: I personally like the "growing out" phase.
#2: I think his 'stache is hilarious, and somewhat creepy.
#3: I like to watch him be uncomfortable and slightly embarassed in public.
Love you! 24~15

Playing Dress Up!

It was an on-the-move, so-much-to-do weekend! Jack’s cousin Ava, Aunt Jennie, and Gramma from KC came to visit him for Halloween!

I have so much to share, but today is all about the dragon! Unfortunately, I did not manage to get a picture of Hannah Montana in her wig/costume, but I have plenty of Ms. Ava to come!

Papa, look out! A dragon’s attacking you!
Oh wait, that’s just Jack…making over sized lizards everywhere jealous of his cuteness!

And here’s Jack with both of his Grandma’s…love!
On the grown-up side, Carey and Jason (the hosts-with-the-mosts) celebrated the holiday with their second annual party! Here they are as Raggedy Anne and Andy…

Jim and I were pilots!

And his sister was the St. Paulie's girl!

We also had Carmen Sandiego (does anyone else remember the kids show Where in the World is Camen Sandiego?) and a butcher (trust me, this was much more tasteful than his costume last year!)

Adam and Eve:

Here’s me, Carey, and Jen the 80’s Rock Star (her husband, Gumby, is unfortunately not pictured!)

Dressing up is so fun! I suggest we do it more often!
I have so much more to share from this weekend, including cousin bath-time, leaf-time, play-time, night-time…and my personal favorite: A Jimbo Mustache-Montage...so stay tuned!

My pumpkins...

I love my Pumpkins...Jack and the orange ones!

I used the idea from Living with Lindsay to recreate the Pottery Barn-style pumpkins. I'm obsessed! I love my little Spider pumpkin (even though he isn't anatomically correct because he only has 6 legs!) Check out her tutorial and make your own pumpkins!

And the other option I made was the Pirate pumpkin...Arrrrrrgh!

But this will always be my favorite Pumpkin:

And these two make quite a pair...l-o-v-e!
Happy Halloween!
